Cameron has had a rich career in the automotive industry. He began detailing cars and mounting & balancing tires at a local dealership while in high school. He attended Wyotech for post-secondary education, completing courses in Collision Refinishing, Street Rod Fabrication, Upholstery and Applied Service Management. After graduation, he worked for a time in a collision center, then moving to the parts department at Carmax where he worked to improve relationships with the various dealerships and parts stores that provided them parts. He was later recruited by the local Mercedes-Benz dealership to handle their shipping/receiving operations and inventory reconciliation. While there, he implemented new processes to improve on-time order fulfillment and accuracy as well as driving down inventory discrepancies. Cameron then moved to Advance Auto Parts serving as a demand planner and store planner, forecasting demand, eventually helping to sunset outdated forecasting software, and aiding in the development of a completely new forecasting system, also rolling out user acceptance training. Cameron then pursued merchandising as an Assistant Category Manager helping to launch a private label brand and later managing a full product line. He was then promoted to Category Manager with responsibility for both Front Room and Back Room planograms, working to balance supplier relationships, sales and unit growth and cross-functional team participation in new strategies. Cameron brings a process oriented, analytical mindset, paired with extensive automotive knowledge and a passion for building and developing relationships to his role with JOSCO.
